About us

Established in Hilversum in June 2001, Den2 Dental Practice is made up of various specialists in dental care, including dentists and dental hygienists. To ensure that you are treated without delay, you will not be allocated one particular dentist, but instead will be considered as a patient of the practice as a whole. This also means that all our dental practitioners have easy access to all the information for any patient, and so can work effectively as a team.

Consultations

During your initial consultation, we will ask you about your dental history and discuss any special requests you may have and what you expect from the practice. On the basis of this information, we will then draw up a customised treatment plan for you. Once this has been discussed and agreed with you, we will then move on to treating you. This customised approach does incur some costs: an extensive treatment plan may cost approximately €200, and will include a check-up, x-rays and the creation and discussion of the treatment plan.

Your personal details

It's very important to us to know as much as possible about our patients. We would therefore like to be informed of any change in your personal details, such as a change of address or anything relevant pertaining to your health. You are responsible for notifying the practice of any such changes.

We are always eager to receive any information we can from your previous dental practice, as this helps us to avoid any unnecessary examinations and often reduces the cost of the treatment plan. You can ask your previous dental practitioner for your file in order to provide it to Den2.

Insurance

Den2 does not have any healthcare agreements with insurance companies. At the end of each consultation, you will be presented with a bill in accordance with the tariffs set by the government. After paying the bill, you may forward it to your insurance company for reimbursement, if applicable. Your insurance policy will state what dental treatment is covered. It is your responsibility to know what is and is not included in your policy.

Appointments

After your consultation, our receptionist will make a new appointment for you for your next check-up or follow-up treatment, and will write the date and time for you on an appointment card. Please note that appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, or you will be billed for the cost to Den2 of the missed appointment (the cost will vary in accordance with the duration of the missed appointment). You can reach our reception by telephone from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 16:30.

Payment

Patients are requested to pay for their consultation by direct debit card at reception. Once you have paid, you will receive a detailed copy of your bill, which you can then submit to your insurance company.
